Dream Interpretation Excerpt

16 May 2021

Dreams are a mysterious and fascinating world, where the rules and laws of linear time and 3D reality do not exist. Dreams can offer you insight on your own raw and uncensored feelings and life experiences. Dreams are one of the innate doorways to unlocking the different realms of the psyche.

When you interpret dreams, one must remember they are purely unique to you and only you can truly connect them to your own life and present real-time. Once you start interpreting your dreams you can begin to unify the mind, body and spirit in a new way; via self-exploration. Dreams are the bridge between the conscious and subconscious. In essence, dreams represent our distilled thoughts and feelings. Sometimes dreams are easy to interpret and sometimes they take a bit more time and process to fully comprehend; this may be because dreams can reveal messages that we are not ready to ‘see’ or receive. Dreams can bring forth memories that have been locked away or pushed so far back in the subconscious we think we have ‘forgotten them’ but then these memories arrive in our dreams for us to face, heal, release and fully let go.

Dream Interpretation Examples

Let’s say you dream about a body of water, water typically represents our emotional system and self, then what you would want to look at is what kind of water was it and what was its temperament. Was it a lake, an ocean, familiar or not? Was it smooth waters and calm, or were the waves giant and dangerous? This will reveal what state you might be feeling in real-time. If the water is calm and gentle, you are at peace in the moment, if the waters are scary, you might be fearing something in the moment.

What if you dream about your teeth? Teeth can mean many things when you see them in dreams. First would be to uncover if your teeth are strong, decaying, falling out etc. Let’s say your teeth or tooth falls out in dream this may mean that you are lacking in confidence and self-acceptance and you may be afraid of someone seeing your “short-comings.” Now, let’s say you act calm when your teeth fall out, this shows that you are ready to overcome these past fears and let them go.

Many times we dream of animals, if you dream of a white rabbit it might symbolize luck, power, success. Also rabbits can speak to fertility, sexuality and faithfulness of love. It all depends on what the rabbit is doing in the dream, if he is hopping around and happy or if he’s biting you, this will show you if you are in harmony with the above or if it needs your attention.

Dreaming of rain is also very common, and if you dream of rain that is falling it can mean forgiveness and grace and it can also represent renewal of ideas, imagination and spirituality. Again you want to look at what kind of rain it is, how you feel in the dream and if you are in the rain or watching it from behind a window, all of these elements play a key role in deciphering the dreams meaning.

A lot of people will dream of playing a game, perhaps you are playing with cards, it can represent your ability to strategy, organize and move forward in many areas of your life. What kind of cards are you seeing, the suit may reveal even more; Diamonds = Wealth, Clubs = Work, Hearts = Love, and Spades = Troubles.

Dreaming of fantasy, aliens, magical lands is also quite normal. One of the most common is to dream of a giant. And if you do see a giant in your dream it might mean you are trying to overcome some very difficult obstacles in your life. It could also represent a person in your life that is dominating over you and there may even be an inferiority complex.

An Easy Way to Start Uncovering Your Dreams

Journal your dreams, take the time to connect the dots that are clear to you: ask yourself questions like:

  • How do you feel in the dream; safe/scared etc?
  • Is the dream familiar to you in your real-time and if so how?
  • Was there an obvious message?

Then after taking the time to do this on your own, you can go out and dig for more information via trusted dream interpretation sources.
